Our boarding time was 10:00 AM. Cheryl drove us to Canada Place and there was a huge line to get into the parking lot. It wasn't moving so we took our luggage out of the car and walked from Sinclair Center to drop it off. We dropped our luggage at exactly 10 AM. We were directed to Room C where we did a very quick and efficient check-in. Then off to security and US Customs. Nexus once again saved us a huge line and we were on the ship at 10:39! That is the quickest we've ever boarded in Vancouver. There were three ships in port, so a lot of passengers were waiting to board.
The passengers on the Niew Amsterdam were all sitting waiting to get on, but the Celebrity Eclipse was ready to board at 10:30! We were allowed to drop our luggage off in our room, but not stay in it. We went to the buffet as it was too early to eat, but it was an easy place to meet our friends.
The Classic Package includes basic internet. My pictures will not be sent or downloaded so I will upgrade to Premium Internet tomorrow. I cannot add any pictures to this blog tonight, hopefully by tomorrow this will be resolved.
Dinner in the dining room was delicious. Ritchie Bros. has its own area and it's great to reconnect with colleagues.
