We went on the Museum and Hato Caves tour. It started at 8:20 AM, which was early for us but well worth getting up for. We started by going to the Chobolobo Liqueur Distillery. We sampled a few liqueur's. Great way to start the day! It was 29C and very humid. We then went to The Curacao Museum. It was very interesting showing the early settlers furnishings and way of living.
The picture below was made by burning glass!
From the museum we drove for 25 minutes to the Hato Caves. The caves consist of marine coral limestone, which accumulated over millions of years. After the sea levels had dropped were exposed to atmospheric corrosion and karstic processes. We were only allowed to take pictures in one part of the caves. There were bats in parts of the cave and we saw them flying around, up high! I'm glad I had a hat on but none came near us.
You would think the caves were cool! It was very hot and humid inside. There were lots of fans but it was incredibly hot. We really enjoyed this tour. We had a informative tour guide, a good driver and the coach had air conditioning!
Another great dinner and after a very funny comedian. Then off to another game show that was a lot of fun. We left port at 10:00 PM, with a wonderful deck party.
