My cousin booked a cruise out of Rio de Janeiro in mid-January. They applied for their visa's but to date they have not received them! They know they are in the embassy and they have reference numbers. Without the Visa they cannot board the cruise!
They are sailing on Oceania Cruises who continually send reminders to apply and then the other day a personalized email from an Oceania employee asking for their reference numbers. I was hoping they could intervene and help speed up the process. Yesterday they received another email from Oceania: We have received an important development regarding the Brazil Visa requirement. The President of Brazil has agreed to postpone the Visa requirement for 90 days.
