Off to Halifax

Our latest adventure started yesterday.  We boarded Porter Airlines to Montreal, changed planes and flew to Halifax.  If you haven't heard of Porter Airlines, they started to fly to Vancouver from Toronto in September 2021.  They fly Embraer 195E2 jets from Vancouver to Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal daily.  They were launched in 2006 and have a huge presence in Eastern Canada.  We decided to give them a try.  Their flights are cheaper than Air Canada and WestJet.  Their seats are two abreast.  They have free wi-fi and their seats that have decent legroom.  They offer free beer, wine and snacks to everyone.  Air Canada just started doing offering free beer, wine and snacks too.  Are they threatened by Porter?

We booked Porter Reserve.  It included a nice breakfast and lots of snacks.  The flight attendant said help yourself.  Trail mix, shortbread cookies, banana bread and something else, I can't remember.  Everything was tasty.  Service was excellent.  Would definitely book Porter again.  We arrived at 8 PM into Halifax.

Durty Nelly's

On our Montreal-Halifax portion, Donna sat beside a nice lady from Nova Scotia.  We were looking at Google maps to see where we could go for dinner.  She said "Durty Nelly's is only three short blocks from your hotel".  It was Friday night the time we got there, and look at the crowd.  They were ID'ing people!  They did ask us!  We went in and the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other.  I don't know if we would have found a table, but Moxie's was across the street so we went there for a quiet nice dinner.  I took this picture when we finished dinner,  It is obviously a great place.

So many things to celebrate today
