This picture is from a store in Saskatoon. Nice to see as I've never bought French's but I did last week and it's great ketchup! 100% made in Canada. Don't be fooled by the Canadian flag on the Heinz Ketchup. When I checked in the supermarket some bottles are made in the US and it's confusing. Buy French's!
I keep reading about a February 28th boycott on large stores. When I checked, it started in the US and is because of DEI and has nothing to do with the Canadian/US Tariffs. FYI.
Consumers are rallying to speak through their wallets − or lack of spending – as a way to protest the retreat by some companies from diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and President Donald Trump's actions to eliminate federal DEI programs since taking office. They are calling on consumers to boycott specific retailers and for one day later this month to refrain from spending any money at all.
Numerous social media accounts are sharing the message of a 24-hour consumer spending blackout planned for Feb. 28. Consumers are encouraged not to spend money in stores or online for the day, and if they have emergencies or essentials they need, they are encouraged to support a local small business.
I still shop at Costco. Yes it's a US company, but much of their merchandise is from Canada. I only buy Canadian and check every item I buy.
Anything I want from Home Depot, I now go to Rona or Home Hardware. I rarely went to Walmart but I do like Staples. I find most items found at these stores can be found at Superstore. I rarely shop online at Amazon, but try to find what I want at the small mom and pop specialty stores.
