I've found labelling on Canadian goods confusing. Trying to find what the difference is with "Made in Canada" and "Produced in Canada". Yesterday, I saw this video on The Morning Show on Global TV. Kelly Keehn did an excellent job in explaining what to look for on goods at the grocery store.

I hope that helps you, it really helped me. I heard on the news some of the local grocery stores are labelling Canadian products to make it easier for the consumer. With the snow and ice that is around right now, I haven't been to a grocery store, and I am happy they are doing this.
