Friendship and Forgiveness

Forgiveness isn’t for the others. 
 It’s for your nervous system. 
 It’s how you reclaim your power 
 And soften your heart without losing your voice. 

Friendship can be a blessing — 
 Until it breaks you. 
 Still, we carry a deep urge to uplift, 
 Even as we untangle doubt and hurt. 

Why do so many women put others’ emotional needs ahead of their own? 
 Because we’re taught to please before we breathe. 
 But healing begins 
 When we remember we matter too. 

 The past? It’s done. 
 The present? It’s a gift. 
 Your peace? Sacred. 

And then there’s this: 
 Do you want to be happy — or do you want to be right? 

Sometimes the need to be "right" comes from fear — 
 Fear of being misunderstood, 
 Of letting someone off the hook, 
 Of losing a piece of yourself. 

But being right doesn’t always bring peace. 
 Happiness asks for surrender. 
 It asks for grace. 
 It asks you to choose love over ego.
