24 years ago we were on the old Holland America Ryndam. It was so rough we couldn't even stand in our room. We had the closest room to the bow and I've always booked mid-ship, mid-aft and aft ever since.
Yesterday we were told there is a storm and we will reroute to try to avoid as much as we can, however we would be going through 20 foot swells! We are fine. We are being very careful with what we eat and only drink water. We are spending most of our time in the room as the rocking could make you fall. The staff is wonderful and helping people around the ship.
Someone on Facebook said we would be late. They were reading Cruise Mapper and the arrival time is 1300 on Tuesday. However, that site uses UTC time which is Greenwich Mean Time. I chatted with Guest Services and they said we will dock on time.
