Princess Charlotte

Today Princess Charlotte started Nursery school.  The papers say it's full time but I'm not exactly sure how many hours that would be.  She's only two years old.  What a sweet picture!

Children in the UK have a much longer school year.  They start in early September and don't finish until the 21st of July.  They have 195 instructional days.  Here is their schedule:

I went on to the BC School District website to find BC school children get 185 instructional days.  I would think the shorter break in the summer would be better for them retaining what they've learned but I've never been a teacher so I'll that one up to my teacher friends.
