Netherlands, Belgium and France
Here is the update from EF Tour Director for March. 21,2018:
We're now tucked away in our hotel after traveling from Amsterdam through Belgium today, more than 300km, and dining on roast pork with potatoes, and apple tart. Our first stop today was at Bergen-Op-Zoom Canadian War Cemetery, the final resting place for approximately 1,100 soldiers, the majority of whom fought in the Battle of Scheldt. After saying good-bye to the Netherlands, we stopped for a bit of free time for lunch in Brugge/Bruges, a lovely medieval city often called the 'Venice of the North.' Some of us managed to climb the city's Belfry, and others explored the winding roads and sampled Belgium's best chocolate shops. We made one last stop at the city's Begijnhof/Béguinage before crossing into France to spend the night ahead of a big day out tomorrow around Ieper/Ypres.
From a Facebook post:
Cadets have been awesome !! Both the flight attendants and ‘first’ hotel staff tracked us down to tell us how well behaved our cadets are!!!
