Enough with the news. It's depressing and sad. I try to focus on the good stuff. On Tuesday when we watched in horror as they stormed the Capitol building in Washington, DC, we turned the TV off and went to the Boathouse in White Rock for lunch. We were the only people there! Lunch was delicious. The ocean view is amazing and watched people walking the pier. I wasn't going to sit in front of the TV and watch history in the making. I thought, we will watch the Canadian news at 11 PM as they will have a balanced report on what happened.
Yesterday was not raining, and that was good. Two police cars pulled over a truck for over an hour in front of and blocking our gate. I did not go out to see what it was about because I didn't want to know. I thought "it's outside the gate, that's a good thing". You always have to look at the positive!
