Before we moved to Surrey, our next door neighbour for a few years was Bobby Singh. He was a football player. We knew Bobby and his wife Alexis long before they moved in as Alexis lived on the next street with her mom when she was growing up. Bobby not only was a well known athlete, he was also a member of the Richmond School Board.
When they moved in Bobby was in training for the BC Lions and his lawn was long. Alexis had three small children and her hands were full, so when Cec mowed our lawn, he continued next door.
Bobby would give us B C Lions swag and tickets when he had them. We weren't great football fans but watched his games and cheered him on.
Bobby was in the American National Football league where he won the Super Bowl in 1999. He then moved to the XFL where he won another championship in 2001. In 2006 he was with the BC Lions when they won the Grey Cup.
Bobby let me try on all his rings. All I can say is the bling is blinding and they are very heavy! Bobby is the only person that has all three wings. I keep waiting for that question on Jeopardy.
