Day Five - Halifax

We docked at 7 AM in Halifax.  It was a beautiful day with temperatures reaching 20C/68F.  People kept asking if we were cold in our t-shirts.  Absolutely not.  Many were wrapped in warm coats and we saw two people with touques on!

Halifax is a lovely city and we've been here a few times.  We were here in June when it poured rain the first day.  We decided to do a nice walk on the waterfront.

Lots of chairs and benches to sit on the waterfront and admire the view

Samuel Cunard was born in Halifax in 1787
He established the first steamship line from Europe to North America

Cunard is my favorite cruise line.  I've only been on Cunard four times.  I wish they were in North America more often as I'm not a fan of overseas flights.  We had afternoon tea on the Emerald Princess yesterday.  It wasn't bad, but didn't even come close to Cunard's afternoon tea!  Princess served the scones cold and just dumped cream and jam on your plate.  Cunard is classier and the food is better.  I'm not complaining about Princess because this cruise was much cheaper than my Cunard cruise in July.  You get what you pay for.  We are really enjoying this cruise.

The entertainment keeps getting better.  Last night the Headliner was Trenyce.  She was contestant on American Idol and was nominated for a Grammy.  She sang Diana Ross and Whitney Houston songs.  She received a standing ovation.
After this show, we went to two hilarious game shows.  Then to the late night comedian.  Princess has the best entertainment on the seven seas!

This is how we ended this wonderful day!
