March 8 is International Women's Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to highlight the progress made in advancing women’s rights and the ongoing efforts needed to ensure their full participation in all aspects of society.
Laurie and I celebrated yesterday at an event presented by our Member of Parliament, Kerry-Lynne Findlay. It was held again this year at the Morgan Creek Golf Course. They celebrated by a fashion show from five clothing stores in South Surrey and White Rock. There was a woman who has a very successful clothing online store called Silver Icing. She started her business in South Surrey and is very successful. https://www.silvericing.com/
There were five different stores that showed their fashions. This is one of the groups! I loved the Lululemon presentation. She explained all the different fabrics and other items they are selling at their stores. Great afternoon with some inspiring women!
