Here is some good information:
If you are ever lost while hiking, get stranded with a broken down car, etc. and you notice your mobile phone is either low on battery or has no signal, here is a tip that may save your life.Change your voicemail on your phone to a message that gives your approximate location, the time, the date, your situation (lost, out of gas, car broken down, injured, etc.) and any special instructions such as you are staying with your car, you are walking toward a town, etc. You can't change your voice mail if you have no cellular signal, but watch for a signal and do it asap. The best part of this is that even if your mobile phone dies or stops working voicemail still works so anyone calling your phone looking for you will hear the message and know where to find you or where to send help!
I always have a battery pack/power bank/portable charger with me. They are now lighter and stronger. The mini one I carry in my purse only charges my phone to 80% but it's very small and light. There are other battery packs that can power up everything from your watch to your laptop. I always have one in my car and when I travel in my carry on. They have come in very handy!
