Two islands are incredibly close to each other, separated by only 3 Miles of sea, and in winter, you can walk across the frozen water to get from one to the other. Imagine you start your journey at 10:00 a.m. and expect to arrive in about an hour. When you arrive, the clock shows an unreasonable time.
The islands are located on either side of the International Date Line, with a 22-hour time difference. Walking the distance takes you practically to a different day.
These wonderful islands are located between America and Russia. They are called Yesterday's Little Diomede Island and Tomorrow's Big Diomede Island.
