Sorry, King Charles, why????

I am a Canadian and a monarchist.  I rarely disagree with the King, however, this time I am repulsed, he would extend this invitation to the President of the United States who wants Canada, a commonwealth nation to join his republic!   He's levied high tariffs on our country that has done damage to a number of Canadian manufacturing industries.  He wants to economically bankrupt us so he can annex us!  We are boycotting his exports, planning vacations elsewhere and you extend an invite and roll out the red carpet!  Sorry, Charles, not impressed!
