For our birthdays we take each other out for a nice dinner. Last night Cheryl, Dave, and Lexi took us to The Vault. It's owned by the same people who own The Washington Avenue Grill in White Rock and the Hawthorne Beer Market and Bistro. The food is amazing!
It has quite a history. Located in Cloverdale, it was constructed in 1948. The building has been home to many businesses over the years. A hair salon, sporting goods store, antique shop but the most recent renovations uncovered sales records hidden in the walls dating back to 1948 when the building's original use was a phonograph sales location. City Hall archives tell us the Royal Bank installed the current vaults in 1978. You can reserve a table in "The Vault"!
