Jean and I had the pleasure of going to the fabulous resort and having a full tour! It is the nicest resort I have EVER seen! The grounds and the employees are amazing! The facilities are five star or more. When I go back to the Dominican Republic, this will be the hotel I will stay at! They offer life-enriching experiences, not activities. The YHI Spa has huts for massages etc. that are air conditioned! Spa services are extra. Cuisine by 8 star Michelin rated Chef Martin Berastegui! They are Earth Check certified. There are shuttles and bicycles to assist you in moving about the grounds.
There is an 27 hole golf course! It was designed by renowned architect, Jose "Pepe" Gancedo, six time Spanish Champion. He used the natural terrain to provide a route easily remembered long after the player finishes. You can take your own clubs and they will store them for you, or rent clubs. Golf fees are included in the price, however you do need to rent a cart. You can play 9 or 18 holes and there is also a driving range.
There are three different levels of service. Regular service which includes everything you want, Royal Service that includes your own butler, private check in, access to a private beach, Nespresso machine and many other services. The Family Concierge is where you would take children. The area is separate and comes with a Concierge also. The children's activities centre is well laid out and well staffed. It is very secure and shaded with many things for children of all ages to do. They have their own pool and the seating areas are reserved for you!
