Things that make me laugh

In a normal year, I would be at a fantastic Christmas party on a Saturday night.  Last year it was at Morgan Creek Golf and Country club and it was awesome.  No Christmas lunches, Red Hat get togethers or invites to friends homes this year, oh well.  Last night I stayed home and answered letters to Santa.

This year has been different.  The Post Office is different!  I am one of two volunteers that can go into the plant and pick up our mail.  Only one trip, use the one way aisles and get the mail and leave.  Carol delivers the mail we've completed at night.  We have safety vests and special badges!

When we get our mail, we get six maybe eight tubs!  None of it is sorted and we have been overwhelmed.  We found out the volunteers in the main plant in Richmond are not allowed in the plant at all.   The mail is being forwarded by postal employees.  The Cloverdale postal depot is huge.  The Langley post office is small.  They think because Cloverdale is big we can handle more mail.  Langley is working out of a strata clubhouse and they have eight volunteers.  We are working out of a training room and have four volunteers.  Now we know we can deliver what we can't handle to Langley!  Problem solved, feel much better.

Answering letters this year to date, no child has been greedy in asking for gifts.  They all know what they want and we get the list, sometimes they cut out the pictures and tell us where to buy it.  This letter cracked me up and yes, I could read it!  There is nothing on the back.  Good thing mom wrote the envelope so I knew the child's name and address.

I really enjoy reading what the children write.  So many offer cookies, milk and carrots for the reindeer.  Of course this year with COVID, Santa can't have any treats.  We have some nice messages written by Canada Post that address the COVID situation.

It's time for a video and again, this made my day!  Enjoy!
