We arrived at 7 AM into Honolulu right by the Aloha Tower. What a beautiful day, its 80F!
| The Pride of America is docked today too! Beautiful day it's 80F! |
We walked around the Aloha Tower shops. There was a free bus to Hilo Hatties at Ala Moana Mall, so we took the bus with Laurie and Julie. The mall is huge and we went back to Hilo Hatties as you need to buy something at their store. We purchased chocolate covered macadamia nuts and they are delicious.
We came back to the ship and the power was off. As we are on the 10th floor, we just waited in a lounge until it came back on. The captain made an announcement at 7:45 PM. He said the generator is repaired but they did not finish the mandatory Coast Guard inspection today. Therefore, we will not leave Honolulu tonight. We will miss Kauai tomorrow but stay in port at Honolulu for another day. All shore excursions will be reimbursed to your account and you will all receive an on board credit of USD $100.00 per person. We've been to Kauai before so we aren't to concerned. I'm sorry for those who were looking forward to it.
After a delicious lamb shank dinner, we went to the local show. It was from a Hulu School and they were excellent.
It was a very colourful and enjoyable concert. The music and stories were lovely. A nice way to end a great day.
