| I never saw anyone abusing alcohol on our last cruise |
For my last cruise, I did the math. It was a 16 day cruise and we had 11 sea days so we would be on the ship more than most cruises. The cost for Princess Plus Canadian is CAD $81.00 per person per day. It includes 15 drinks, alcoholic, coffee or water; gratuities which for us was US$18.00 per day per person and wi-fi. This is where I lose it. They only give you one wi-fi device per person. Both my husband and I have two devices so we need two sign ons each. Yes, you can toggle between two devices, but that's a pain.
It would have cost me CAD$2,592.00 for Princess Plus
Gratuities cost me US$18.00 per person per day (we had a mini suite so it's more) US$576.00 CAD $806.07
Wi-fi for 4 devices was CAD$500.94 (I get 50% off loyalty discount)
I never bought any alcohol on board. I don't need the sugar or calories and I'm doing it for my health. My husband rarely drinks and is fine without it.
I took my reusable water container so I never paid for water.
Princess has Lavazza coffee which is excellent. Want a free coffee, go to the buffet!
My onboard charges: CAD$ 1,307.01 Saved CAD$1,294.99
and I lost 1.5 pounds!!!!! Next cruise, Standard fare not Princess Plus!
